- Employer records — retained for the duration of the business relationship plus 5 years
- Dispute records — retained for 7 years from the date of resolution
- Identity documents — deleted within 30 days of dispute resolution
- Website analytics — retained for up to 2 years
As a consumer subject to a background check, you have rights under the FCRA and applicable state laws, including the right to:
- Request access to information in your file
- Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information
- Add a statement of dispute to your file
- Know when a report was used to take adverse action against you
