Frontier Background Checks is a consumer reporting agency that prepares background screening reports for employers, landlords, and other entities with a permissible purpose. We comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) and applicable state laws.
This notice summarizes your rights under federal law.
Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
1. You Have the Right to Be Informed
If information in a consumer report is used against you — such as for employment or housing — you must be notified. This is called an adverse action notice.
Before final adverse action is taken, you are entitled to receive:
- A copy of your consumer report
- A Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA
2. You Have the Right to Access Your Report
You have the right to request a copy of your consumer report from us.

We may require reasonable verification of your identity before releasing a report.
3. You Have the Right to Dispute Inaccurate Information
If you believe information in your report is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to dispute it.
Upon receiving your dispute:
- We will conduct a reasonable reinvestigation
- We will review relevant evidence you provide
- We will correct or delete information that cannot be verified
Reinvestigations are generally completed within 30 days as required by law.

4. You Have the Right to Have Inaccurate Information Corrected
If our reinvestigation determines that information is inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable, we will:
- Correct the information
- Delete it from your file
- Notify the requesting party as required by law
5. You Have the Right to Limit Access to Your Report
Consumer reports may only be provided to parties with a legally permissible purpose under the FCRA, such as:
- Employers (with written authorization)
- Landlords (with written authorization)
- Creditors
- Government agencies
We do not release consumer reports without proper authorization or legal basis.
6. You Have the Right to Seek Damages for Violations
If your rights under the FCRA are violated, you may:
- Seek damages in federal or state court
- Recover statutory or actual damages
- Recover attorney’s fees and court costs
7. You Have the Right to Place Fraud Alerts or Security Freezes (Through Credit Bureaus)
If you believe you are a victim of identity theft, you may contact nationwide consumer reporting agencies to request fraud alerts or security freezes.
